Cooperin Guide does not collect, sell, or share your personal data. All job data, invoices, client information, and notes are stored locally on your device only. The only data that ever leaves your device are messages you send to the Coop Assistant feature, which are processed by a third-party service.
All of the following data is stored exclusively on your device using local storage (AsyncStorage). It is never transmitted to our servers or any third party:
When you use the Coop Assistant feature:
Cooperin Guide requests camera and photo library access only for the Coop Assistant feature, so you can photograph motor nameplates, panel schedules, and electrical equipment for analysis. Photos are only transmitted when you explicitly choose to send them in the assistant interface. We do not store photos on our servers.
The app includes a backup and restore feature that exports your data to a JSON file on your device or shared via your preferred method (email, cloud storage, etc.). You are solely responsible for the security of backup files you create and share.
When creating invoices, the app may query a third-party geocoding API (OpenStreetMap Nominatim) to estimate sales tax rates based on a service address you enter. The address you enter may be transmitted to this service. This is an optional feature and no personally identifying information is stored by this lookup.
Cooperin Guide is a professional tool intended for adults working in the electrical trade. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at cooperin.guide/privacy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
